James Steer
Deep house, funk, disco & 80s
James started collecting vinyl records in the early 2000s after hearing musical life changing house music on Kiss fm. House music led to techno then led to minimal and by the mid 2000s had put on Deepchord parties with some friends at Mercat Cross Hotel and also played at nightclubs such as Honkytonks, Loop Bar and Revolver.
These days you will find James also playing Disco, Boogie, Funk and Afro Disco at places like Mango Bar, Sooki Lounge and Dr. Morse. Not to mention some great hits from the 80s too. Constantly searching for gems hidden in disco crates at second hand record stores, James will take you on a smooth journey with many shades of music and dancing along the way.
